** The above classes are designed for parents, caregivers, case managers, educators or anyone who wants to learn more about Prader-Willi syndrome.

Staying Fit - What You Can Do (Health Education Classes for Teens and Adults with PWS)

This is a 2-part series where persons with PWS learn about their bodies and what they can do to stay healthy.  Each class is 1 hour long.  30 minutes is devoted to interactive learning and 30 minutes is filled with "Staying Healthy BINGO" with health related prizes.  Please feel free to obtain consent from guardians if desired.

2. Things About PWS that Affect Your Health ... And What You Can Do

     A. Your Temperature Control Center May Not Work Correctly
     B. Overeating Can Cause Stomach Illness
     C. Things Don't Hurt You Very Much
     D. Some People Pick at Their Skin
CLASS 2
     A. Sun Sensitivity
     B. Tooth and Dental Care
     C. Bone Safety and Care
     D. Controlling Your Feelings
     E. Fluids - How Much is Good?
     F. Breathing Problems - Preventing Lung Infections and Sleep Apnea
